Testimonials

From Our Families’ Hearts

We feel truly honored to share these stories from families in our community whose children have been part of Pre-K in the Park. Their words remind us why we love what we do and give a glimpse of the joy, growth, and friendships that make our program so special..

My daughter is on her second year at Pre-K in the Park and I can’t express the gratitude and love we have for Mrs. Heather along with the other teachers she has. Her program is incredibly fulfilling for our daughter and Heather has such a beautiful way of solving problems whether it be drop off troubles, conflicts between the children, or even talking through problems you may have at home with your child. She encourages a strong path to starting school and keeps the kids engaged. One of the best parts of her program is the opportunities she takes to be outside with the children in all weather (of course within reason) at the playground and to introduce them to new experiences around beautiful Saratoga. There’s no doubt in my mind that Pre-K in the Park was the best choice and we will be sending son there in the fall.

I cannot say enough good things about Heather’s pre-k program. I have sent both of my children here and have been in awe of her unique approach to learning. She fully prepares each child for kindergarten and emphasized social emotional learning in her daily lessons. The program has a big emphasis on nature and she gets the kids outside in all types of weather. The other great aspect of her approach is taking the classroom outdoors by embarking on numerous walking field trips. It reminds me so much of Mr Roger’s Neighborhood! The class takes trips to the fire station, police department, post office, bike store, music lessons and other local businesses around town. Heather has decades of experience and is flexible in her approach to meet the needs of each student. I think Heather’s balance of academics, play, nature, and social emotional learning is what sets this program apart from most pre schools.

Pre-k in the Park has been everything we had hoped for in finding a preschool for our children! With my wife being an occupational therapist specializing in early education we sought out many alternatives: all with their pros and cons. What's great about Mrs. Heather's approach is her unique ability to incorporate so many great pieces from non-traditional and traditional sources in a harmonious and balanced approach that allows each individual to thrive and fell as if their needs are being fully met while engaging with their social peers and the local community alike. Truly a terrific and formative experience that we are lucky to be a part of.
